We welcome the consensual conclusion of the talks chaired by Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble on the Somalia election process and the agreement signed today (May 27) in this regard.

On this occasion, we reaffirm our belief that the friendly and brotherly Somali people have the will and political maturity to determine their own future, appreciate the responsible attitude of the Somali political leaders and hope that the election process will be completed as soon as possible.
